Crowns

A dental crown, sometimes called a cap, is a restoration that encases the entire circumference of the tooth, restoring it to its original shape and size. A dental crown protects and strengthens weakened tooth structure. Dental crowns are made by a trained technician in a dental laboratory on a precision model of your tooth to mimic the size, shape, and color of your natural teeth.

A dental crown may become necessary or desired for one or more of the following reasons:

  • Broken/Fractured Teeth
  • Cosmetic Enhancement
  • Severly Decayed Teeth
  • Fractured Fillings
  • Large Fillings
  • Endodontic (Root Canal) Therapy

Bridges (Fixed partial denture)

A dental bridge is a cemented, non-removable dental appliance used to replace a missing tooth or teeth. A bridge accomplishes the following:

  • Fills gaps left by missing teeth
  • Prevents the shifting and tipping of teeth due to the space created after removal of irrepairable teeth
  • Restore a fully functioning bite
  • Maintains your face’s natural shape
  • Replaces a removable partial denture

A dental bridge is comprised of at least two crowns which go over the teeth, adjacent to the gap. We call these abutment teeth. Between the dental crowns, we place an artificial tooth, known as a pontic. This tooth will look and function like a natural tooth.
